Sunday School is the ideal place for young people to learn about religious views and beliefs. By incorporating interesting activities and fun Bible crafts into your Sunday school curriculum, you can make sure that your students will look forward to Sundays.
Yarn Cross Church Craft
In order to participate in this Sunday school craft, you will need the following:
*Mini craft sticks
*Tacky glue
*Gemstones
*Low-temp glue gun
*Craft sticks
*Various colors of yarn
Help your children's liturgy students apply hot glue to the end of the yarn and attach it to one end of the regular-sized craft stick. Then have them cover the rest of the stick with tacky glue. Their next task is to wrap the yarn around the stick-as many times as it takes to completely cover the craft stick. Then help your students trim the end of the yarn and glue it into place with the hot glue gun. Repeat this process with the mini craft stick. After the two sticks are covered with yarn, glue them together with the hot glue gun to form a cross. Encourage your students to decorate their crosses with gemstones.
This is a great addition to your Sunday school curriculum because your students will love taking their yarn cross home to share with their family and friends.
Pasta Pins Bible Activity
For this church craft, you'll need the following:
*Lots of letter-shaped pasta
*Spray paint
*Jewelry craft pins
*Tacky glue
Help your students pick out letter-shaped pasta to spell out phrases or words linked to your Bible lesson. If you're just covered a lesson about the creation story, have them spell out "Adam," "Eve," or "Eden." If you want it to be more generic instead of lesson-based, encourage your students to pick letters that spell "God," "Jesus," "WWJD," etc.
Next, your students will glue the pasta letters together to form the words they have chosen. Then they will glue a jewelry craft pin on the back. Finally, help your students spray paint their pins and prepare them for wearing!
These two Sunday school activities are perfect for adding to your Sunday school curriculum because they reinforce the teachings of Christianity while also providing the students with a creative outlet.
