Do you have deep places of pain, hidden away from even your closest loved ones? Do you feel emptiness in your spiritual life? You may doubt your relationship with God, or feel so far away from Him that you doubt His very existence. When the ones we love have hurt and betrayed us, it is difficult to trust God's goodness.
Meditation opens our hearts to the presence of God. But if you have experienced trauma, or if you have deep heart-hurts that have never been comforted, opening your heart even to yourself can feel uneasy, and meditation can feel threatening. And it's true that while Christian meditation is supportive and soothing to the heart, it can also open up and release areas of pain.
God will support you through any pain you encounter. He will hold you and comfort you.
Christian meditation is especially helpful when your life feels scary or threatening. Meditation will calm your heart, reduce depression, reduce anxiety, and help you sleep easily and naturally. Meditation washes your body with healing biochemicals. It brings a rich sense of well-being. These are a "side-effects" of physical and emotional blessings, a gift to you as you move into closer relationship with God.
And you can begin now.
But what if you don't know how to meditate? Or what if you've tried, but your mind wanders and races, and your body gets even more tense and anxious?
Many people find it helpful to learn to meditate by using the warm support of a guided meditation. And even those who have meditated for years enjoy the comfort and direction of guided meditation as they open new areas of their heart to God's love.
The pain you experience may be related to trauma. Perhaps it was childhood trauma, betrayal, or loss. Or perhaps an event much more recent is lodged there in your mind, deep inside, causing your body to react every time it threatens to comes up. Guided meditation can help you release these experiences to God's love and care.
I developed the guided meditation "Experiencing Forgiveness" in response to the emotional pain my patients shared with me. Powerful, loving and supportive, this guided meditation touches the heart with God's tender acceptance, washing you with the joy of forgiveness and filling your heart with love, blessings and hope.
"The Home in Your Heart" leads you to the nourishment of God's safety and protection and brings a warm, cozy calm to your very center. And for simple healing, "Peaceful Sleep" will allow your mind and body to rest deeply and easily, so your heart can begin the healing process.
Support for the weary. Comfort for the lonely. Soothing for anxiety, help for despair.
Christian meditation. You are loved. It's time to experience the joy.
