Choosing a Sponsor for an Income Opportunity can be difficult and confusing. What should you absolutely consider when you choose a Sponsor and why? The quick answer is, "What's best for you"?
Let's say a Network Marketing Company like Synaura or Resorts360, (or some other Income Opportunity) because of its product line and the income possibility, really interests you. Perhaps they have cutting edge products and a generous compensation plan, which are causing people of all walks of life to be flocking to this opportunity. Perhaps most people are being introduced to it by someone they know or who has sponsored them before, then the choice of a sponsor in such a case is obvious, choose them. However, what if you were introduced to it by someone you don't know (or like), perhaps through an email, voice broadcast or pay per click ad?
Often the Search Engines are full of ads and statements like, Join Here With The Top Synaura Sponsor or Top Resorts360 Group or Top Leader in Mona Vie. Who should you pick? It can be confusing and take a lot of time to read through all the websites or watch all the videos. So I'd like to share a few important considerations I've taken myself as these points apply no matter what Income Opportunity you decide to join.
Is there a "Best" Sponsor or "Top" Team to join under? Well there has to be someone who joined first and his "team" would definitely be the Top Team. However, does that mean you should join under them? Perhaps, but is this what you should look for? What the concept "Best Group" or "Best Team" is obviously conveying is that they want you to join under them because they're the best. Can they prove this? How do they know they're "The Best" Group or Team? Learn a lesson here from Google.
When you place a Google Ad with their AdWords program, you can't put the word "best" or "top" in an ad. Did you know that? They realize everyone would do this and who could prove it or substantiate it? The same is really true when it comes to such claims in articles, blogs and websites. It's like saying you're the best plumber or electrician in the world. Do you know the kind of work every plumber and electrician in the world does so that you can say "I'm definitely better"?
The truth is that there are no "best" teams, just bad ones that don't help you or care about you.. One will say they have the best way to market their opportunity through their "system". Another will say we have the biggest Internet Network Marketers on their team. Perhaps another will say, we will help you to build your downline, give you spillover or we will advertise for you. Be cautious with such claims when choosing a sponsor for any income opportunity, not because it isn't true but because of what they don't tell you like how much it's going to cost you.. Ask someone who is under them if this is all true and free or do they charge you a fee for their "mentoring" or training?
The truth of the matter is that you should always call your potential sponsor and ask them what you can expect as far as help, advice and who their immediate upline is. Also, it's good to ask where you will be placed, which leg and what that means. Do they understand the products and can they somewhat explain the compensation plan to you? Are they accessible during the day? Can you do 3 way calls with them? Do they know the Company owner, do they have his phone number, can they answer questions about the products and are they an active or passive sponsor?
Another key matter in choosing a sponsor (in most Companies they are known as Independent Directors or Executives) is his personality, networking experience and available time. If you can never reach him (especially when you're trying to sign up under him) he probably won't be there for you after you do enroll. This would especially be true if you leave a message or email him/her and he doesn't get back to you.
Choosing someone that is honest and has leadership skills is also important. A good leader won't portray himself as the best or the number one sponsor in the Company just to get someone to sign up under him. A sponsor should lead by example, sending welcome emails to his downline and using a follow up system of autoresponders to keep in touch and broadcast updates to his team. He may even have or be a part of a marketing program or system or advertising Co Op to offer his down line.
As far as teams and groups go, there may be Teams that have greater Volume sales than other teams, but this doesn't make them the best team in the Company. The Best Team or Group in a Company is the one you would feel comfortable in, the one you choose that's best for you. You may even consider calling someone who has joined under him/her to see what their opinion of this potential sponsor is.
In conclusion, choosing a sponsor should be simple. Simply pick up the phone and call him or her. You want to see if you can reach them, if they are interested in you as compared to signing you up and if you feel comfortable with their personality and business ethics. After all, it won't be the last time you'll call them and ask them some questions.
