Choosing Outdoor Water Features to Complement Your Garden Design
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

People love waterfalls. They are beautiful, they are wild and they can now be brought home to your backyard. Outdoor water features can be added to your garden in many different ways. From fountains to ponds and even pools, nothing brings peace and quiet to your neck of the woods like the sound of water flowing over rocks and tumbling into a pool or pond.

Fountains are the most popular choice for a water feature, from decorative to simple, there are many designs and they range greatly in price from inexpensive to needing a small fortune. You can have a large stone multi tier work of art in your garden or a small wall fountain by your deck. Stone fountains are heavy and pricey, but look great. Fiberglass fountains are a great option as they are lighter and easier to place, and can be made to look like many other materials. Overall a fountain is a great choice as a stand along piece or combined with a pool or pond.

Ponds are very popular. Many combine fountains and ponds together and in doing so create a wonderful paradise on their property. There are many folks who add fish to their ponds giving them a wilder look. Most fish that are added to ponds are goldfish, while there are those who have large garden ponds that add freshwater game fish. You will probably want a good filtering system for your pond if you are going to add fish. There are many choices and be sure you research every option well.

Adding a fountain to your pool can give you a little taste of what it's like to be rich. A fountain that flows into your pool like a waterfall over rocks can make your backyard seem like a tropical paradise. You can even construct a large green garden around your pool to make you feel like you are in the Amazon basin or a wild pacific island. There are some great options for a pool and fountain combination. Just a little research and you can soon be floating on your pool listening to water tumble into your pool.

Good luck!
