Children's Church - Give These Two Sunday School Activities a Try!

Sunday school activities can be many things. They can be boring, dry, lackluster, and tedious. However, when you add some fun into your Bible lessons, they become much more interesting for your children's church class. Try the following two activities to spice up your normal Sunday school routine.

Arms of Comfort Sunday School Activity

For this craft, you'll need the following for each of your children's church students:

* Two pieces of colored construction paper
* Markers
* Stapler
* Glitter
* Stickers
* Other decorating items

Instruct your students to trace each of their arms and hands on the construction paper (one piece for each hand/arm). Help them staple the ends of each paper arm together. Then help your students write "God Will Comfort You" on the arms. Now it's time for your class to go nuts being creative with glitter, stickers, and markers. Once the activity is complete, show the students how they can make the "arms" wrap around the waist for a pretend hug!

Free From Evil Bible Lesson

You'll need the following for this Sunday school activity:

* 12 index cards
* Bible for each child
* Masking tape

Before class begins, prepare six index cards with the following verses:

* Proverbs 10:4
* Psalm 81:15
* Proverbs 14:30
* 1 Corinthians 10:7
* Luke 12:15
* Mark 3:29

Now prepare the other six index cards with these descriptions of sin:

* Laziness
* Hate
* Envy
* Idolatry
* Greed
* Blasphemy

Have one student pass out the index cards with the verses. Another student should stand in front of the class and tape the six index cards displaying various sins on his or her clothing. Instruct the rest of the group to look up their Bible verse and read it over several times. Then the children's church students should read their verse to the rest of the class and rip the "sin" that coincides with that verse off of the volunteer student.

The point of this Bible lesson is that with Jesus' help, we can remove all of our sins, no matter how many we have committed.

These two Sunday school activities are great for getting your children's church class involved in learning about the Bible and Christianity.
