Is there such a thing as a cheap divorce? What would you call cheap? $500? $350? If you could be legally divorced from your "problem relationship" would be willing to give a few hundred bucks? The question is not: "How much money to the lawyers". The question is not complete until you add in the TOTAL cost of the divorce.

How much money is this going to cost you when you include the hours lost. How much when you consider the costs of buying new furniture, new appliances, and maybe even another house.

And what about the emotional costs. Your emotional health is a BIG issue. You can be laid up with all kinds of "nerve" troubles for a very long time. Psychologically, you may have trauma that you will have to deal with (both financially and physically) for the rest of your life.

And then there is the horrible price that your children and family will pay. There is a stigma, both psychologically and socially that goes along with being part of a "broken home." The children, though we hope they will recover and "get over it" still are traumatized and injured, probably for the rest of their life.

No, there is not such thing as a cheap divorce. Divorce is terribly expensive. You do not even want to go there. Something that would be Cheaper Than Divorce would be the right way to go. ANYTHING is cheaper than divorce. Go see a Preacher. Go talk to a counselor. Figure out what it takes to make a good, loving, romantic marriage. Don't delay. There is too much at stake here!
