Her smile so charming, tender and warming, looking quite alarming

Like fresh French bread from the oven with a great aroma in front of me

One look and I almost bit my tongue; food spilled from my mouth

Didn't know what to say; just sat and stared-had time to spare

My coffee was hot, but had to still walked passed her to get another cup

Almost fell from the pull in her direction, it was like a strong magnet

But it could have been a dragnet. I am innocent! Just admiring her

Her fork fell, my hands empty; where's my coffee? Got it-the fork!

Waitress came, "It's okay sir, thing like this takes place all the time!"

"May I get you a clean fork?" She smiled "Thank you for being so kind!"

Her voice was warm full of charm; it was like butter on my French bread

"May I? Just hate to sit alone." "You may, what is your name?" She asked

Dumb struck, could not speak, admiring her charming smile for a while

Wondering when the loony van will come and get me-I was going wild

Whispering the words were stuck; "Frog in your throat?" "Noooo noo!"

Feeling for a pen to write a note, mind floating like a ship lost in space

She stepped away after refreshing her lips; "favorite color" she says

Left a card, tried to reach for it; hands frozen in place; fingers tried to wave

Smiling and ready to leave waitress came after a while; "my bill please"

How could this be after only having coffee and French bread? Nice lady,

Says you were paying for her meal. The card was blank-I was spanked!
