As a dating coach for men, a lot of men come to me upset at the fact that in order to succeed with women with any amount of consistency you have to actually go out there and start approaching women.

In their minds, they think that its unfair that there is a double standard when it comes to who approaches who. Yet, what men like this fail to realize in the moment is that a lot of women whether they realize it or not don't approach men because doing so will make it that much more difficult for them to know if the man that they are initiating a conversation with has the one thing that the majority of women find attractive.

Of course that one thing is "confidence" and for a lot of women it doesn't matter what else you have if you are lacking in the confidence department then it is a no go. What this also means is that women face a much more challenging problem than any man who has confidence or at least can demonstrate some confident traits has to face; which is figuring out how to attract a man without actually approaching him first. In other words, once you begin approaching women you are in control of who you do and do not talk to. There is no wondering if she is attracted to you or if she even noticed you because in many different ways you are doing what you must in order to attract at the very least her attention.

However, women on the other hand must wait just like pretty much every Disney Princess until a man of confidence shows up. Only then can she begin to measure him up for any other traits that she may or may not be looking for. To make matters worse, many women find that when a man with confidence approaches them his power of presence becomes so overwhelming to her that her list becomes irrelevant. In the end, all this means is that as a man, given the fact that so many women find a man with confidence overpoweringly attractive taking that first step in order to gain in your own confidence and start approaching women. Otherwise, you will end up in the same boat as women only there aren't as many women in shining armor waiting to rescue you and even if there are you still have to work on improving yourself enough to make her want to choose to rescue you.
