Catchy Titles Are the Key to Steady Product Sales

Expert Author DeAnna Troupe

When you are selling information online, competition is very stiff. There are literally hundreds of people selling the very same information as you are. These people are trying to reach the same customers you are trying to reach. You have to do something creative to stand out from the crowd. Naming your products becomes very important since this is one way you can stand out from everyone else.

If you are selling your own product, you are more than likely selling a particular method. For most people, theory alone is not enough to understand a new concept. Stories are usually much more helpful. When you are trying to help people, you need to make it easy for them to take action. In order for your product to stand out, think of a catchy name for your method. This helps your customers because it makes it easy for them to remember what they are doing.

Here's an example for you. Let's say that you are selling an ebook on "How to lose 10 pounds in 10 days." Information about the theory of weight loss and how it works alone is usually not enough for your customer to take action or even remember your product. There must be hundreds of weight loss books with similar titles. Most people usually understand the theory of how it works but they need a simple method that they can perform in a matter of minutes that will help them solve their problem. Let's say I had a technique of helping someone eat better and exercise easily.

Note that this technique is just being used as an example. No claims are being made that this could actually help you lose weight.

Step one. Let's say that you enjoy eating peanut butter. Enjoy 3 stalks of a baby Bok Choy plant by dipping the stalks in some peanut butter. Eating Bok Choy helps with weight loss because it has antioxidants and fights bad chemicals in the body. Natural Peanut Butter is a great source of protein and healthy fat (provided there's no hydrogenated oils).

Step two. Grab your MP3 player with a playlist of upbeat songs and go take a 15 minute walk.

Wouldn't these two steps be much more valuable to customers if you named the method "20 minute weight loss?" Yes. Much more valuable then just explaining the steps one by one in theory. All of a sudden this product has jumped to be worth at least 10 times as much as it was before!

Whether your niche is weight loss, or making money from home, you need to learn how to create simple but catchy titles for your products. Your title could mean the different between making a sale or not. Catchy titles helps your customers remember you better. It helps with branding your business. Now get to work creating some unique titles for the infoproducts you are creating.
