Cassette Books Are Limited

The great thing about audio books is they are constantly changing but one cannot discount the fact that their origins all came from cassette books. Sadly, since the production of cassette tapes are limited, one day soon even the cassette books will no longer be used. It would become more of a memorabilia, a decoration in a library perhaps and nothing more. There are no more gadgets by which one can play it with especially since there are is a limitation when it comes to the availability of tape decks to use it with. This is a sad turn of events because cassette tapes are cheaper than CDs and cassette books cost less than any other audio book.

Personally, I was frustrated when I learned that I can no longer find cassette books on stores. What they have are the CD versions of it. They must have thought I was so backward to have asked for them. But I want to use the tape deck that I have in the car since that is the only time that I always need something to prep me up in the morning while I am driving. But since it was no longer available, I was not able to.

Hopefully, they will be remembered as one of the pioneers of music books. They were able to provide hours of education and entertainment for all book lovers around the world. These books were able to entertain not only the adults but the children as well. It was used and reused by people who can read and those who cannot read.

Cheryl Forbes writes about cassette books at her website audiobooksguide.net.
