As if it isn't bad enough that there are numerous car insurance companies to choose from, there are different types of coverage. Lets take some of that pressure off your plate by briefly defining your coverage options for you.

First you have the option of going with the minimum amount of coverage. This is called liability. If you cause an accident, this coverage would cover only the person's vehicle and medical bills that you hit. Any damages your personal vehicle sustained would not be covered. You may choose to go with this option if the value of your car is less than you may be able to pay out of pocket.

If you were in an accident and could not cover the cost of your dependable vehicle's replacement, you may choose to go with a little more coverage. Partial coverage will allow you to pick and choose some insurance options to cover you. You may choose the deductible amounts you can afford to pay if an accident occurs. However, this is not always an option.

If a bank lends you the money to purchase your vehicle, they require that you have full coverage until the loan is repaid. Full coverage can cover your car in many different scenarios. If you can afford this option and have an expensive vehicle, this would be a great way to go.
