Become the communicator and let your spouse be the listener. Keep the conversation at a low tone. Arguing with each other will not be productive in achieving peace in your relationship. Use this time to try to identify why the affair happened and how the both of you can make sure that it will never happen again.

• Forgive your spouse for the affair. This will be the most difficult thing of routine, but it will be the most imperative. A marriage without forgiveness will be like a prison for your spouse. You can offer forgiveness without putting your trust on the table. Simply acknowledge that you have knowledge why the cheating happened and that you forgive your other half. Your spouse will need to understand that while the forgiveness came easy, your trust will need to be earned back slowly.

• Find the spark in your relationship. Keeping your everyday routine is not going to help your relationship with your spouse. You both need to get out and reinvent your marriage. Go out on dates and find that spark that lead you both to fall in love.
