Everyone wants to avoid scams, but with so many "systems" and "programs" available people are always wondering if you can make money from them. But it seems we have different definitions of what a scam is. Some people define scams as any process that promises a lot but gives very little back. Some people think any system that requires a fee is a scam. I personally think that you can make good money with some "scams." Should you make money this way is the real question.

Below is a business opportunities I have recently come across. Some people swear they are making good money from this program. I checked it out and I decided it was not for me. Maybe you will feel differently.

Global Domains International (GDI) - One of the reasons people like this is that it is just $10 a month to have your own business. I decided to check this out because of the low fee. I easily signed up and then got to the page where I had to choose a domain name. All the domain names have the extension .ws which is not very popular. Most experts agree that .com is the best extension to have.

I choose a domain name just to see what the next step would be. The next page told me that I would then have to pay $10 per month for this domain name. That is $120 a year! This is utterly ridiculous. I have gotten my domain names for $1.99 with GoDaddy when I signed up for other products.

But you really aren't paying for just a domain name. What you are doing is paying your upline or your sponsor and his sponsor and so on. The only way to make money with this program is to recruit other people who want to pay $10 a month for a domain name with a not well known extension. The people who sign up under you (your down link) each pay $10 a month and you get a percentage of that money.

If you have 10 people in your downline and you get, say, 20% of that $100 monthly fee then you have made $20 for that month. Your upline gets the reminding money. If each of the ten members in your downline has 10 people then you get a percentage of all that monthly income. It does add up. The more people you can recruit and keep motivated, the more money you will make. It is a very simple process.

My problem with GDI is that you are not offering a real service or product or something of value. You are making money just by recruiting people who pay $10 each month. I personally don't like opportunities that require you to pay a monthly fee and recruit people in order to make money. But I am certain there are people who are happily making money from this program. If recruiting is something you like to do and you don't mind overpaying for a domain name, then GDI may be the program for you. Since it is a lot cheaper than similar programs giving it a try for a few months won't empty your bank account.

I think some people label these types of programs as "scams" because they tried them and didn't make any money so they concluded that no one could make money. But since these types of program have been around forever obviously someone is making money. What you have to decide is whether you want to make money with Global Domains International.
