Calcium is Good For Your Health!

Calcium is essential mineral in bones.  Aged women or those who have no menstruation will lost calcium in bones faster than usual.  This condition can easily lead to osteoporosis and broken bones in old people caused from attack or falling down.  Hip bones, wrist bones or backbone might be broken.  Actually, the best way to protect and cure the osteoporosis, especially for women who have no menstruation, is hormone replacement therapy which is better than other medicines.  It helps reduce fat and prevent Alzheimer disease also.

(Some reports notice that most patients are male)  However, there are certain advantages of this therapy.  The menstruation cycle might happen again and it is still dangerous for those who are at high risk for breast cancer.

The calcium replacement might help it better but the best period should start from teenage years and adult period to strengthen the bones and decrease risk of osteoporosis in old age.

Moreover, the calcium substitution after no menstruation is quite beneficial too but not much as the above age.  The osteoporosis rarely causes in men due to more bone density but it might occur during old age.  Therefore, you should supply calcium early with high calcium food, for instance, meat, whole fish, milk or calcium supplement which you can find at a market or a drug store.  You should exercise more by jogging or running which is better than swimming to strengthen the bones.
