Looking at SEO (search engine optimization) to drive high quality business opportunity leads to your online business?
Just what is it we should be focusing on to optimize our efforts doing off-page optimization?
To be honest...Most of everything that has to do with SEO pertains to your on-page optimization. Probably around 90% of SEO. Obviously this is pertaining to your web site or sites. I bring this up because once you are aware of this, SEO becomes much easier.
That said, you should be concentrating on links...specifically backlinks. let me tell you what kind of links there are and then I will get into why you should concentrate your efforts on backlinks.
The 3 kinds of links are:
1. Outbound links - These are links in which you (from your web site) are linking to other peoples' web sites.
2. Reciprocal links - These are links in which you are linking to someone elses' web site and they are linking back to "your" web site.
3. Inbound links or backlinks - These are links coming to "your" site only.
Why focus on inbound links or what are referred to as backlinks?
Of all the search engines, the Google search engine has what is called "PageRank".
PageRank is exclusive to Google. None of the other search engines use it. It contains thousands of algorithms that determine the value that Google places on your web site.
The numbering system starts out at "0" and increments based on the importance that Google places on your site.
The higher the number...the better!
We are focusing on the Google search engine because they command at least 65% of all search engine marketing. All of the other search engines are looking up at Google right now.
Okay. With that said... Getting inbound links or backlinks from other web sites are like obtaining favorable votes for our site.
Votes are not equal though!
Votes or "backlinks" coming from web sites that have high PageRank are worth much more than a link coming from a site that has a much smaller PageRank number.
So. To get highly target business opportunity leads to your web site using SEO... You should be concentrating on getting backlinks. All backlinks are good but if you really want your site to rank high in the search engine result pages (SERPs)...
Focus on getting backlinks from high PageRanked sites!
