This will bring up the source code for that particular site. There are exceptions but in many cases, you will be able to find out what keyword phrases that site is designed around.

To find them, look at the title and the META NAME description and keywords. You can get a good feel for what they are doing by scrolling down through all of the code that comes up.

For one thing, the web sites you are looking at are not only your main competitors. These are people who know what they are doing or they would not "have" that high search engine ranking.

Look at a few of these sites and study them. I do not endorse copying them but you can optimize your own web site using ideas obtained from others who are successful. You can be more competitive by maybe changing your title so that it sounds good to your visitors. At the same time, optimizing it to work more effectively in the way you use your keywords.

Look at other keywords they are going for but might "not" be fully optimized for. Go for them! Find one of those keywords and then look at your competition for "those" keyword phrases. By looking at their source codes and if your persistent, you will find some words to go after and which will not be so hard to get.

It is worth the time chasing those words down. Not only do you gain knowledge from looking at the more successful sites, you can find word phrases with less competition and still with plenty of traffic.
