Many men want to gain muscle mass and change their bodies for the better. But a lot of men and women focus only on certain muscles like arms and chest, for obvious reasons, they look the best! However, building leg muscle is important because it will make your muscle building efforts so much faster.

The primary reason why this is true, is because the lower body tends to grow along with your upper body, that's just how things work. Every once in a while you will see the muscle heads at the gym who just have large arms but have tiny legs and it just looks ridiculous, don't do this!

Here are a few tips for building leg muscle:

Tip #1 Try to keep the rep range in 8-10 range as its been proven to be the most effective for building mass, too much more and you will be working for tone, and too much for it will be strength.

Tip #2 The basics are always best when it comes to leg building exercises, such exercises are leg presses, lunges, squats, calf raises, but mostly squats, if you can only do one, do these they will grow your lower body like nothing else.

Tip #3 When your lowering the weight draw it out as long as you can, the reason for this is that its been proven that more muscle is built during lowering the weight as opposed to going up, your leg building exercises will be much more effective following these steps.
