I'm currently writing a series on blogging. This article deals with blog topics and more specifically about blogging about your hobby or interests. Most all of us have something we are passionate about whether it be bowling, cats, lawn care, fishing, or crafts. These make great topics for your new blog.

This is a great way to connect with others that share your passions. This really works because most people are very passionate about their hobbies and if you ever decide you want to try to make money from your blog then you've got a great niche with passionate readers.

When blogging about your hobbies, you can talk about your personal experiences as related to the hobby, showcase some items in your collection, talk about a great purchase you made, or write a tutorial on how to do something.

While your blog is an expression of who you are, you don't have a blog without your readers so be sure to think about them every step of the way. When building your blog, look at it from the perspective of a new reader.

Does the blog look good? Does it flow?

You also want to make sure that your writing doesn't contain lots of grammatical errors or misspellings. This can quickly turn off new readers to you.

Most importantly, however is the content. What you decide to write about and how you present will determine how many readers you are able to hang onto over time. Try to figure out what people want to know more about and give them that information.

Starting a blog should be fun, so why not write about your hobbies or interests? Follow your normal blogging guidelines and put together a posting schedule and remember to engage the readers. Ask questions and always be there for the reply.
