It's obtaining to be that time of year once more, you know, when the weather turns colder, the nights grow longer and previous man wintertime starts creeping over the country. Some people absolutely LOVE wintertime and also the host of sports that go along with it like hockey and skiing but I am not one of them. As a die-hard cyclist, wintertime time is literally painful as I long to be on the back of my bicycle once more and I am not alone. There are many other cyclists who struggle with maintaining both their fitness and their sanity during the wintertime months.
Most of the much more dedicated cyclists end up purchasing an indoor bicycle trainer of some kind that permits them to maintain their fitness and fill that need to pedal while previous man winter howls away outside. I have had the good fortune to ride and use several different bike trainers over the years and I can tell you that there is an immense difference in the quality of the products on the market and this can dramatically impact the enjoyment level you get out of riding this trainer. my experience is that riding a bike trainer indoors is about as much fun as a hernia to start with, so riding a crappy bicycle coach indoors is even worse.

As you may have guessed, this is really a fluid coach, which means that the resistance for your legs is provided by moving an impeller via viscous fluid which provides drag. It's a bit more complicated than that but you get the concept. Fluid trainers are a great choice for ANY bike rider but they are THE option for anyone living in a condo or apartment as they are reasonably quiet compared to a Mag coach.
