There are a few viable options for priests leveling, so the title of "Best Priest Leveling Spec" is actually going to be dependent on what you, the player, want in your spec! We'll discuss the options available and why you should consider them.
Holy specs are typically not ideal, even for those who intend to level exclusively using the Random Dungeon system. What IS one of the better options is the so-called 'Smite Spec". This spec starts as a Holy spec but moves to Discipline after getting Holy Reach and Searing Light. It's both strong single-target DPS at low levels, and good healing. Here are the talents you'll want for this spec:
Holy Spec
* Divine Fury
* Desperate Prayer
* 4 points of filler talents
* Searing Light
* Holy Reach
After that, move to Discipline and take the talents outlined in our next spec.
Discipline is absolutely the best priest leveling spec for anyone seeking to heal their way to eighty; mana efficiency and healing from Disc is amazing; you also do passable damage at high levels, though if you're doing much solo leveling Smite Spec is better. Here are the talents to get:
* Twin Disciplines
* Imp. Fort, Inner Fire, and Shield
* Meditation
* Mental Agility
* Inner Focus
* Soul Warding
* Mental Strength
* Enlightenment
* Focused Power
* Power Infusion
* 2 points wherever
Everything in the last four tiers; get Rapture, Borrowed Time, and Penance asap, though
Finish with early Holy talents.
So we have the two possible healing specs; what is our straight up damage spec, though, for people who exclusively level through questing and solo play? Shadow is going to be the best priest leveling spec for you!
* Spirit Tap
* Darkness
* Imp. Pain
* Mind Flay
* Imp. Mind Blast
* Shadow Reach
* Shadow Weaving
* Veiled Shadows (don't need it early on, but get it some time before you get Shadowfiend)
* Vampiric Embrace
* Imp. Vampiric Embrace
* Focused Mind
* Imp. Devouring Plague
* Shadowform
* Shadow Power
* Imp. Shadowform
* Misery
* Vampiric Touch
* Pain and Suffering
* Psychic Horror
* Twisted Faith
* Dispersion
and for the rest of your points, go with the early Discipline talents.
I hope one of these specs serves your purposes: Smite for mixed soloing and healing, Discipline for healing exclusively, and Shadow for pure soloing.
