Best Fat Burning Workout With A Medicine Ball

Expert Author Johnny Palmer

Medicine balls can help you burn fat if you put in a solid workout, but they are not a necessity to burning fat. Here is a wicked workout to get the fat melting off with a medicine ball for you:

Best Fat Burning Workout With Medicine Ball

  • Woodchoppers: 20 reps (hold ball with both hands between legs and slowly raise until over head with straight arms, lower in the same manner and repeat)
  • Overhead squats: 20 reps (hold ball with both hands overhead then squat butt as far down as possible, then drive back up keeping arms straight overhead the whole time)
  • Clean and press: 20 reps (pick up ball from ground and then do a netball thrown straight up in the air a few feet, catch ball and then lower to ground and repeat)
  • Medicine crunches: 10 reps: (hold ball on chest, do a crunch, hold crunch at the top then throw ball up about 1-2 feet, catch, lower body then repeat.

Medicine balls are just one tool in a massive arsenal available to anybody wanting to burn body fat. Using one can provide a great workout, but as I mentioned at the start, they are not a necessity to burning fat, just another tool.

If you are serious about wanting to burn fat, you should also never forget the importance that nutrition plays. If exercise is queen, diet is king. If you do a workout and burn 500 calories and then have 4 meals a day that are 1000 calories and snack on junk all the time, you are not going to be burning any fat.
