Wireless dog fences work by using corrective training to teach your pet where it is and is not acceptable to play. These collars will send out a corrective shock to warn your pet that they have traveled too far and should stop and turn back. This "shock" sounds much more painful then it is. This "correction" has been compared to a loud bang more then something that is actually painful. Although some naysayers may be against using this type of tool to train your pet, there is something that no one can argue with, results.

When you first begin using an invisible dog fence to train your dog, you will be amazed at how quickly your pet will learn to stay away from the areas that they are not allowed to pass through. Within a few weeks you will see that your pet rarely wanders into the "danger zone". The reason that they begin to respect the boundaries that you have laid out for them so quickly is that they begin to associate passing through those boundaries, without begin on a leash of course, in a negative way.

Although, it is very impressive that a dog training tool can teach your pet so quickly and easily with little to no effort on your part, the most amazing thing about these wireless dog fences is that they are only temporary. Over time your dog will being to venture near the outskirts of your property less and less until one day your will see that they will not under any circumstances attempt to leave the property without you. That is when there will no longer be a need to wear the wireless collars at all. Your pet will be fully trained and you can retire the invisible dog fence once and for all.

If you would like some more information about the electric dog fence, take a look at this site, Wireless Dog Fence.
