It is tough to decide on who is the one for you. You might meet a guy/girl who seems to be just the perfect one for you. You get along so well with each other, you share many common interests and you cannot stop staring and blushing when around your partner. But then you find out that there is one thing which is not quite right about that person, now that's the fly in the soup!
Making a decision about your love life is a critical decision which could affect your life majorly and the life of people around you and maybe even your future children if you plan to. You should decide based on your priorities.
The person could be wonderful in every way, and you feel nothing could be more perfect, except that tiny little thing which is bothering you like a bad habit, or a weak quality, could just be anything like hoarding, weight issues, sloppiness, addiction, or even qualities like excessive job hopping, hot temper, a particular passion or obsession etc. Now it is difficult to decide based on 9 positive points against the odds of one negative point. Nevertheless, you should weigh the pros and cons and how much that habit or quality could affect your lives.
A common mistake many people commit is hope that the person would change and give the green signal for your relationship to start. One hard reality is that bad habits stick to the person like a leech, and even though they are able to overcome them, it comes back to haunt them during trying times. Hoping the person would leave the habit or change his thinking is not a very good thing to assume, then problem could arise based on your hopes and frustrations arise in the relationships.
You must think with your mind and not your heart for a moment and also play with the possibility that he/she might not change. Most people have a very tough time trying to change themselves for the better, in fact after about 30 years of age people are quite established about who they are and that annoying habit of theirs just gets more and more prominent as they grow older.
