Beautiful Strength - Calisthenics For Excellent Total Body Conditioning!

If you are wanting to talk about getting into superior shape then you have got to include calisthenics into your regular day to day workout regimen. Kalli-Sthenos is the greek origin of the word calisthenics. Kalli (beautiful) sthenos (strength) is where the word calisthenics comes to life. So what are calisthenics? Well basically calisthenics involve whole body movements and exercises that are performed in a rhythmic and systematic way in order to promote muscular strength, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness all at once. This can be done with nothing more than your own body weight and will allow you to get a superior workout.

Total Body Conditioning!

Calisthenics are great for anyone to perform in order to get into shape for any reason. The fact is that it doesn't matter if you are an athlete or regular fitness junkie you will benefit greatly from this form of physical training. I have been a personal fitness trainer and strength specialist in Atlanta, Georgia now for over 10 years and calisthenics, along with kettlebells, are a major part of my strength and conditioning philosophy. The great thing about this form of training is that it can be done just about anywhere and at anytime.

You see some examples of calisthenics involve drills such as jumping jacks, squat thrusts, and burpees. These exercises all have multiple steps and actions that must be understood and performed by the participant in a flowing manner in order to obtain there full benefits. You see smart training must involve the process of connecting the mind and body in harmony in order to be effective. If you are relying on the mindless bicep curl machine to get you fit then you will never get there. You can't function without BOTH the mind and body working together towards executing a task. Its simply impossible.

Calisthenics are a great way for you to sharpen your skills in exercising. This particular form of training allows you to maintain an "edge" much like the blade of a knife would when used and sharpened regularly over time. If you don't use and sharpen the blade it will simply dull and rust resulting in complete uselessness. Here is a news flash for you; your body will do the same thing if you don't use it properly! If you haven't already you have got to engage in beautiful fitness and strength with calisthenics.
