The "Bachelor Pad" might just be every man's dream home, but it could turn into a nightmare very quickly if you don't equip your swanky apartment with the right security features from the start. Living in a Bachelor Pad doesn't just mean watching all of the games on TV and pizza and beer for breakfast. Solo living, in fact, can be much more complicated than living with roommates. In your bachelor pad, you are the only one responsible for home security, and now more than ever you must take steps to protect yourself.
When living in a Bachelor Pad, you have no one to look out for your safety at home. Though you might be a macho guy who feels like he can take on anyone who comes his way, what happens if you return home one evening to find yourself face-to-face with an armed intruder? Bet you wish you had a stun gun now! Do not let your pride stop you from buying pepper spray or other self defense products. Though you should be concerned about these safety issues, it doesn't mean you have to tone things down. Just pay attention to what you're doing while you're enjoying your time living alone. Make a point to get to know the people who show up to your party, don't leave your front door wide open when you're walking your dog, and always lock the door behind you, even if you're just going for a beer run. Carry pepper spray with you, no matter how macho you feel. If you're confronted by a dangerous person, you don't want to wish you had it in your pocket. Even the toughest guy should pay attention to his actions to make sure he's not putting himself in harm's way.
