Kingdom Hearts 2 - the second game in the series features many of the characters from the first game, and a few new ones to spice things up. Axel Kingdom Hearts 2 has one of these new characters, and it's easy to see why he's quickly become a fan's favourite. Axel has also featured in the new Kingdom Hearts 365/2, but that's not the game I'll be talking about.

The Axel Kingdom Hearts 2 character, like many of the other members of his organisation wear a long, black coat that covers him completely. Axel is a similar style of character to that which you'd expect to find in a Final Fantasy game, as he has one of those crazy Final Fantasy style haircuts (red hair spiking out in all directions). Also, when Axel Kingdom Hearts 2 decides to attack, he means business. His main weapons are something called 'Chakrams', which are large, spiky, round weapons that are synthesised with the element of fire. He uses two of these at once, as he can hold one in each hand. With these Chakrams he can conjure up great balls of flames, and occasionally likes to trap his opponents in a circle of fire, before landing a fatal blow on them. Some fans have argued that his weapons have eight separate spikes on them - each one referring to a different rank in his group. Because he is the eighth and final rank, he has all of the spikes.

In the Kingdom Hearts story Axel appears a lot, and a change in him can clearly be seen from when the game starts to the end of the game. Axel is a complex character, and not completely bad nor completely good, as is the way with many 'anti-heroes' that we now see in many of today's films.
