Sadly, this mistake is one of the biggest. A corporation can often get wrapped up in its own image and end up writing the website's content for itself, rather than for its customers. A website that has been written without customers in mind usually ends up a quite boring read. Avoid this big mistake by closely thinking about what you customers' want and what they expect to see on your page.
Mistake 2: Low Contrast
Another big mistake in the web design world is low contrast. This 'low contrast' epidemic has meant users cannot simply read the page in front of them! This is obviously probably the easiest way to put someone off your company. Mistake 3: Overloading the Website
When creating their first website, companies can go a little too far. We understand that they're excited about their website and want to make it stand out from the crowd, yet the way not to do this is by overloading your website with graphics. Not only will it take up most of your space, making the loading time much slower, it will detract from the content of the page. Avoid this mistake, by keeping images at a minimum and by using simpler backgrounds.
Mistake 4: Too Much Going On
Make no mistake, website's are still today overloaded with information and looked cramped. This is often caused by too many hyperlinks, sometimes garishly highlighted in red or blue, or too much content on one page. Overloading a website in this manner will make your company cheap and crass, which will in turn put customers off. Avoid this by keeping hyperlinks limited (only when needed) and space out your content throughout the website, rather than over one page.
Mistake 5: Font Errors
Another issue is the use of hard to read fonts. Sure they may look good, but to quite a number of people they are unreadable. Keep it much simpler and stick to the usual fonts, which look classy but actually can be read.
