Avoid Drinking Diet Pop

Diet soda has been marketed as the savior to people that want to drink pop but don't want to add calories to their diet. Research indicates though that these diet drinks can be just as bad for you as normal drinks.

There is research out there that has been finding that when people drink sugary drinks it will actually increase their desire for all things sugary and it has been shown that when people drink one diet pop a day they are increasing their odds of type II diabetes. It might motivate you to know that type II diabetes can lead to having to have your foot amputated. You really won't be doing yourself any good by switching to diet pop.

As many of you know most pops have no nutritional benefit to you at all. They are simply just empty calories. The same can be said of diet pop.My recommendation would be to cut out all pop from your diet.

Water, tea, and coffee are all solutions to drink instead. I know these aren't as tasty as pop, but your body will thank you. Drinking water all the time can get boring though. Luckily, there are many different things on the market today that can help spruce up your water. Crystal Light is an example of this, it is a powder that you put into your water and it'll flavor it depending on the flavor that you choose. Vitamin water is also a great choice. They tend to be flavored but do not have all the sugars that pops have.

If you are looking for different flavors then I would suggest coffee and tea. There's black, green, and Earl Grey tea just to name a few. Coffee comes in more flavors than you can even imagine and both have antioxidants in them as well. Boosting your metabolism and helping to protect your mind from dementia are all benefits of antioxidants. Avoid putting too much cream and sugar in your coffee as this will make your coffee no better than the pop that you are trying to avoid.
