I lost weight on the Atkins Diet way back in the 1970's, when it was brand new.
I thought the late Dr. Atkins was a genius (I still do), and a courageous genius at that.
He stood against the mainstream of the medical blind leading the blind, and taught us that the common mantra of saturated fat and cholesterol causing heart disease was simply not proving true in his practice as a Cardio specialist. And as a weight-loss specialist.
Through the years, from time to time, I lost weight again on the Atkins Diet. And again. And again.
Whoa!, you ask, why again and again?!
Because like almost everyone else who loses weight on Atkins, I lived with carbohydrate cravings that eventually had to be satisfied.
And so I went off the Atkins Diet (just for a "couple of days" -- yeah, sure!).
And as soon as I went off the Atkins Diet, I gained back the weight I had lost.
But three things were even more horrifying than gaining back my weight:
1. I gained it back even faster than originally,
2. I gained back even MORE weight than before I went on the diet, and
3. Each time I went back on Atkins, it took even longer to lose -- then faster to gain back, etc.
If you've experienced the same sad thing, believe me, there is hope.
There is a way to lose the weight, without counting carbs (or calories, or grams of anything), and without cravings that you eventually have to give in to.
It's more than a diet. It's a wonderful, healthy, satisfying way of living.
By the way, do you want to learn more about losing weight without counting calories, carbs or points?
