As If I Did Not Know!

Expert Author Jose Luna

I often laugh at the naiveté I see in the World, at how people walk through life believing all sorts of lies, even as we have reached levels of distrust unequaled in the history of man, I hear stories, and see situations that would seem ridiculous for anyone to believe, and yet people keep falling, and trusting, and believing.

The thing is that most scams and tricks and situations of the sort, are designed to appeal to the deepest and darkest zones of our inner self, and they manage to turn on senses that we do not even realize that are there, and these senses, entice us to believe, even in the presence of the obvious.

The reason why we believe and continue falling is because we are motivated by sin. I know I am touching a subject nobody likes to hear about, but that is the reality, it is generally lust what moves us, and what triggers those senses that are there to drive us into doing things that often make us shake our own heads once we realize what we have done.

John speaks of this in his epistles (1 john 2:15-17). And you may feel tempted to say, how can you attribute to a sinful attitude the fact that we get deceived into doing something we normally would not do? My answer is simple; it is the attraction of the expectation, the lust of what is to come. The idea that "if this is real, I am going to get rich, or I am going to get pleasure, or I am going to get power" these are the three major motivators of humanity, and they are a deception, an illusion created by the devil to keep us in the dark, to keep us from the reality of life. And when a quick thinking thug gets a hold of this concept, it is easy to device instruments of deception based in this principle.

Jesus said to the devil in Luke 4:4, a man does not live of bread alone, but of every word that comes from the mouth of God. Deut 8:3 shows us the same passage, which expands to explain that when we trust the Lord we can count on his faithfulness in fulfilling all of His promises. The Israelites were forty years in the desert, yet they never were hungry or thirsty or in need of clothing.

And it is precisely these three motivators that the devil used to try to entice Jesus Christ into sin, by trying to activate these senses, with the offer of opportunities, of satisfaction, of riches, Yet the Lord stopped him on his tracks, by quoting three verses from the book of Deuteronomy, Do not put the Lord your God to the test (Deut 6:16), you will worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only (Deut 6:13), and, Man does not live out of bread alone (Deut 8:3).

We are not expected to respond otherwise to these temptations except through knowing God, except through being followers of Jesus Christ, except through devotion and studying the Scriptures. But even within the body of Christ we often see the victims, falling through the cracks of Hell by letting the seductions of this world tease them into believing that they can fulfill through chasing after a ghost, something that only God can provide.

Christ Jesus died on the cross to restore our fallen Humanity, to give us redemption, to pay the price for our sinful ways and to bring us on to the Father, yet the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life keep gaining ground, and more of the brethren keep falling into the cracks of hell through deception.

The example of Eve in the Garden of Eden should have been sufficient for those who have experienced Christ, yet we have an inexplicable habit of bumping into stones that have already been removed from our path.

I can understand the reason why the world falls into these traps, I can see how, the people of the darkness keep making mistakes one after another, and letting deception rule their lives, it is not estrange to see seemingly straight and honest citizens committing all sorts of sinful acts, rape, Murder, adultery, fornication, stealing, cheating, lying. we have a few great examples we could mention right from the current headline news.

But when a child of God falls through the cracks of hell there is turmoil in heaven, when a prominent Minister, or even the least known of the brethren step into a stone that was meant to make him fall, the constriction of the Holy spirit is obvious, and I am not speaking of the cuts and bruises we get through the walks of life, and the thorns and thistles that scratch us while we walk through the narrow path, I am speaking of those who knowingly fall into the traps of Satan. Through the same sins that we left behind when we were chose to follow Christ.

Our churches are stained, our youth, our elders, our people is living as if Christ is never going to come back, as if there will be no judgment. And we dare to ask, why doesn't God speak to me?

Gossiping, lying, stealing, fornicating, lust, greed, adultery, additions al sorts of additions, gambling, cigarettes drugs, alcohol, pornography, is all rampant within the church, and what are we doing about it? we the leaders of the church, just whisper once in a while trying not to stir up the water, afraid to offend someone.

The spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to free the captive, to cast out demons, to bring freedom to the body of Christ, and the only way to get that freedom is by telling the truth, by calling it like it is,

The Lord Jesus Christ read these words from the book of Isaiah chapter 61, to let the world know that there is a new game in town, that there is a new covenant between God and his people, I will put my word in their heart and in their mind, I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Jeremiah 31:33). But there is a call that is an essential part of this covenant, and that is to obey his commandments, to follow him truthfully and wholeheartedly, and if you are not able to do that, and if you are not able to separate yourself from the world and live a life for God, then He is not your God, and you are not His People.

If this word is for you, Repent and be saved, or continue your wide path and be condemned. (Mark 16:16)

May the Lord Bless you and give you wisdom to make the right choices!
