Where is the future of eBooks going? I mean lately it seems that the sky is the limit as we have Barnes and Noble ready to be sold or file bankruptcy; Borders Books has not made a substantial profit in quite a while, and Amazon last quarter sold more eBooks than regular ones. Just like print media is seeing its last decade what about the printed book? The other day my local library which has a room of used books for sale was selling all the books at $.25 each, those my friends are (end of the day) garage sale prices!
So, where is the eBook Market going to take us next? Well, I Predict Artificial Intelligent Creative Writing Software for Ebooks will soon turn out 1,000s of books a day. Some of these books will be created Corporate Sponsored Stories with their products and services in the story-line, and then the eBooks will be given away free to those who want them for their eBook Reader devices or iPads. Remember Dell is coming out with a Tablet, so too are all the major electronics manufacturers soon.
Still, before this transition I believe corporations will hire writers, famous ones, to write stories with their Corporate Identity all over the story-line, just like in the Movies or Video Games these days, and give them away to preferred customers or as an incentive to highlight their products, unlike a big screen movie paying an author to write a book is peanuts.
In fact, I've written books for companies, non-fiction, for well under $5,000 and that's chump change considering all the cash these companies are sitting on these days. In fact, there was an interesting op-ed in the Wall Street Journal Online along the whole eBook future written by Professor Adner at Tuck Business School at Dartmouth, also a former book editor entitled; "Get Ready for Ads in Books," and I say to that op-ed piece; Exactly.
Indeed, I am just projecting the future use of AI or artificial intelligent innovative software, for using in creative writing. That is a logical future and my prediction is merely projecting this software into the next period, and taking all this to a higher level. Why would I make this prediction you ask?
Simple, because as an online writer with 21,000 plus articles, I am already running into competition with AI writing software users "spinning" one article into 5 or 10 articles on the same topic to get quantity to dominate their categories on the web. How can anyone no matter how prolific compete with that? I am the most prolific online article writer in human history, I can't compete, the computer AI software writers have already proven that.
Today, their quality is substandard, but tomorrow, I have no doubt it will surpass my writing abilities without missing a beat. Please consider all this, and the future of the eBook.
