Article Writing for List Building - Attracting More Subscribers to Your Email List

Expert Author AJ Simon

Without list building, you wouldn't have a real business. There are so many websites out there that you must compete with. And if you don't have an email list, you'll fail. The thing is...list building is crucial for following up with your potential clients. So let's say that you set up a website in your traffic going to it, but then one day the traffic stops. What do you do now? If you have a list, you would be able to follow up with prospects to ensure that you are making money. But if you don't have a list, you're simply relying on traffic to keep your business afloat. You do not want to do this.

First of all, getting their contact information is your number one priority. Everything else is secondary. You see, after they sign up your list, you can build a relationship with a by sending quality content on a regular basis. Your emails should be constructed in such a way that people get to know your writing style. This will ensure that you have ongoing communication with your subscribers and build trust.

Once you have built a relationship with these people they will be more susceptible to your promotions. This means more money for you. So how do you even get people to trust you in the first place? Well, I suggest that you offer them some real value. Give them an incentive to join your mailing list but offering a free guide. Now, you're free guide doesn't have to be a whole book, it just has to offer them a solution to many problems they are struggling with.

Now, this is where article marketing comes in. You see, writing articles is extremely effective in establishing you as an expert in your niche. As we well know, people have a hard time trusting the things they see on the Internet. So, if you are going to stand a chance, you need to use a marketing method that sets you up as a trustworthy person.

Here's what I suggest you do to make this work:

Give these people what they want. Make your articles address their learning needs and provide useful content designed to help them solve a problem. If you want to find out what these people are struggling with, go to the forums where they hang out. You see, forums are a great place to learn what people really want to know. Another great thing that you can do, that works for me, is to conduct surveys asking people what they need help with. This will give you a general idea of how you can help to. And once you find out what they're interested in, the whole process of list building becomes much easier.

Ensure that these people join your list by showcasing your expertise. You see, people will not join the list if they do not believe you have something of value to offer them. Lighten up a little... be funny and creative. Make your articles interesting to read. Nobody wants to read an article that's boring.
