1. Listen to your target audience. Before you start writing, I suggest that you find time to interview some of your target readers. Your goal here is to know what they would like to see on your articles. Ask them about the topics that they would like you to discuss, the specific information that they would like you to share, and the exact way on how they want your articles to be written. You need to consider all their needs and demands as this is the only way to make sure that you'll be able to impress them.

2. Be an expert. As a writer, it's important that you're a good source of information. Thus, I suggest that you earn an expert status in your chosen niche. Although you cannot make this happen overnight, be assured that with determination and perseverance, you'll surely be able to get there in no time. Research your chosen niche thoroughly, get first-hand experience if needed, and work closely with people who are already considered experts.

3. Help your readers. You don't want your readers to soon forget about your articles. This will happen if you load them up with exciting information that they can actually use in improving the quality of their lives, in solving their problems, in increasing their knowledge on particular issues, and in reaching their goals.

4. Use keywords. After making sure that your articles are reader-friendly, the next thing to do is to make them search engine-friendly. You can do this by using keywords all throughout your content and by using Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) technique.
