I never really started to write any articles until a few months ago because I thought it would be too hard to start. Many people were saying how easy article marketing was, but I really wasn't too keen on getting started. I finally decided to try article marketing when I could no longer afford to use the pay per click methods that are available.

Once I got started, I was amazed at how well article marketing actually works. I started by choosing about twenty main keyword phrases to write my articles around. I researched the keywords I used to find the most popular phrases that had little competition in the marketplace.

By this I mean, once you have your keyword, you can do a quick web search to see how many sites (millions?) have a reference to your particular keyword. Once you have this result, then put some quotation marks around your keyword and do another search.You will see that the results yo get back should be a great deal less than the first search. This is your clue to a 'low competition' keyword.

The articles that you write will each revolve around one of your keyword phrases. They can also  be relatively short articles, as long as you are conveying some point for people to consider or even your own opinion on the topic.Remember, no-one has had your experience and so what you have to say can have a great impact on your readers by helping to short-cut some problem areas related to your subject.

This is a great way to start your article marketing because you can write down your own experiences and it is no different to  talking to one of your friends.
