Google, there's a chance that the article with those keywords will come up, and that the searcher decides to click on the link to read the article. The more popular the article becomes, the higher its rank will become with Google.

There are several article marketing directories that allow members to share their articles. Webmasters can sign up to these directories for free and share all the articles they have written (or hired others to write). So how does this help them if their content is published at article directory sites?

These article directories are ranked extremely well with Google. And while they don't allow members to outright pimp their websites out in the body of the articles, webmasters and bloggers are allowed to tell a bit about their website(s) in the "resource box" below the body of the articles.

The directory ranks extremely well with Google, which means there's a chance the articles will rank well, and by having their website/blog linked to said articles, it will rank higher as well! So everybody wins! Yay!
