Are You a Successful Entrepreneur?

Are you a successful entrepreneur? How do you know? How do you measure your success? Is it the bankroll? The new car? Vacations? Is it financial freedom? Or having the liberty to spend time with your family and do the things you have always wanted to do.

You define your own level of success. You are the only one who can get you there. For me, one measure of success is being able to set my own schedule and have the freedom to be a caregiver at home. It is also about becoming debt-free and creating a stable financial future.

Each of us has our own saga of how we got to where we are today. Sometimes it literally pays to listen to those stories and learn from them. Can you tell your own story in 10 minutes or less? Try it. You will be surprised how much more focused you can become with that simple exercise.

When we really pay attention we stop flailing about trying to go solo through the maze of setting up an online business. We find solutions and seek out people with answers. That is when we begin to see the successful entrepreneur in ourselves.

Did you follow the traditional path to schools and college and business seminars? Did it help? More often than not, those fancy degrees and certificates are less than practical when it comes to choosing your direction and managing your business with success.

Some people believe it is essential to be aggressive and push other people out of the way or climb over them on the corporate ladder of success. I do not. I tend to be cooperative and collaborative. I see the potential in all members of the team and work to bring each of us to success.

Know what you want, and create ways to get it. If you are the type of person who gives up at the first frustration, go back to the JOB. Running your own business requires more than simply showing up for work and doing your JOB. Shift your thoughts to convert negative experiences into positive lessons. You will make mistakes. If you are not making mistakes, you are not stretching.

Identify your dream. Translate it into goals and action plans. Write it out. Talk it over. Find a trustworthy mentor in the field of your choosing. Learn from the success of others. Learn from the failures of others. You are unique . Becoming a successful entrepreneur is a reachable goal. Work to make it real.

Look around. Pay attention. Learn from the masters yet walk your own path. Success comes in inches most of the time. Celebrate each one. Do your homework. Read. Go to forums. Look, listen and assess what you see and hear. Be an active learner. Passive might get you through a boring meeting but it will not build your business.

If you have not reached your goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur yet, take heart. Get focused and take action. What do you love to do? When you love your work, it is not work.

Internet life changes fast. Be an agent of change. Look beyond things that appear to be limitations. With the right tools and guidance you can become a successful entrepreneur in a global marketplace.
