Just like any other passion, supporting your love for golf can get expensive. This is especially true today as more families are cutting out unnecessary expenses in order to survive a difficult economy. Yet, there are some options you may not have considered before. Did you know you can purchase lots of cheap golf balls that are just as good as purchasing new balls?

Many golfers simply do not realize that there are cheap golf balls out there that can be used for regular practice without sacrificing their game. If you have not considered your options for reducing the expense of purchasing balls, it may be time to give this serious consideration.

There are two options for finding cheap balls. You can purchase reduced price balls that are new in the package or you can find lots of balls that may be used but are still in great condition.

Discount Golf Balls

It is rather easy to find discount new balls sold at reduced prices online. Many of these may have defects or other markings on them which make them inappropriate for sale as brand new balls, but which also do not interfere with their actual use. This is a great way to get a slightly lower price on your balls, but it is not the cheapest option out there.

Cheap Golf Balls in Lots

The cheapest way to find your balls at an affordable price is to purchase large lots of balls at very low prices. You can do this through auction sites like eBay or through websites that feature a variety of discount and cheap golf balls, both new and used.

Cheap balls purchased in this manner may or may not be previously used, but all will be in usable condition. You can also find lots of balls in excellent to like new condition, still at the very low prices you want to pay. Many of these balls will look, feel, and perform just as a completely new ball from the store would! Those that may have minor imperfections will function perfectly well for practice and putting around, while most will still perform just as a new ball.

Some of the balls included in a lot of cheap balls may also include those with company logos. These are often brand new balls that simply cannot be sold through the stores because they have been given out as promotional items. Many may have never been used, so essentially you are getting brand new balls at dirt-cheap prices.

It's true that a professional golfer wouldn't take cheap balls to a tournament, but most golfers are not playing for millions of dollars. Most are playing for the love of the sport, and for those there is nothing smarter than reducing the expense of the game by using cheap golf balls.

The good thing about purchasing golf balls in bulk is that they often come in large lots of a hundred balls. This means you can purchase one big lot and not have to worry about your supply running out for quite some time!
