The Apple iPhone is one of the most versatile and useful communications gadgets that have been invented in the 21st century. iPhone is actually a combination of a PDA (Hand held Computer with an operating system), a cellular phone, an I-Pod and an Internet Communication Device; that has been bundled together to make a special portable communications tool. It can offer almost anything a consumer can expect from a cell phone, an I-Pod, or a PDA.

As a cellular phone, iPhone is sleek and elegant looking; while at the same time a useful smart phone that incorporates all the expectations of the consumer. With its special multi-touch screen, it can present color images and it allows the user to input any command by its touchpad in the screen. The iPhone has state of the art technology and one these technologies are the personalized address book with pictures. In the picture address book, the user is allowed to see the picture of the person besides his name, so that the call can be placed from memory. The call can be switched to a speakerphone, it can be muted; or if preferred by the user, the call can be transformed into a conference call, just with a tap on the screen of the iPhone's touch pad. As a cellular phone, iPhone is extremely user friendly and it offers all that you can ask for from a cellular phone.

As a PDA, iPhone is extremely functional and has futuristic technology. The Apple iPhone comes with a special operating system, so that your device also functions as a PDA. You can open documents to work on them; but most importantly, you can use the Internet whether you are traveling or if located away from home. With its Safari Internet browser and the iPhone's Wi-Fi capability, you can connect to the Internet through any Wi-Fi source available. Or, if there isn't a Wi-Fi connection available; then the user can connect to the Internet through GPRS or through EDGE Cellular Internet System, which is three times faster than GPRS. You can access any Website just as a same way as you would access it on a PC. Its wide screen allows you to view any website easily and includes the graphics too. You can also access your email, whether it is POP3 account or an IMAP account like Google, Hotmail or Yahoo Mail. If you wish to transfer data; you have the option of using the Bluetooth Technology, Wi-Fi or its USB docking feature. Thus, your iPhone can function like a PC allowing you to work with it, even on the road.

Besides its PDA features, the Apple iPhone has a built in camera that allows you to take digital pictures or if you want, it also allows you to record video images. This is extremely useful, so that your iPhone can also function like a digital camera. You can also play back your recorded video or you can view your pictures and if you want (with its user-friendly software), you can edit your pictures or your video. With the iPhone's wide screen, you can also watch downloaded images and Videos from the Internet.

One of the other advantages of the Apple iPhone is that it can be used as a music player like an I-Pod. It has a built in feature, which allows you to select songs, make play lists, download new music, by utilizing it's on-screen touch pad. With its search facilities, you can also search for any song online or in the iPhone memory.

The Apple iPhone comes with either a 4 GB or an 8 GB memory depending on the option that you choose. It has an enhanced battery that allows you to use the iPhone for 5 hours of talk time, which is also combined with Internet usage or with video usage. If you just use your iPhone to play back music, then its battery can last up to 16 hours. On the whole, the iPhone is a superb communications solution.
