In today's medical environment, most professionals see eye to eye about the health benefits offered by apple cider vinegar. Natural health enthusiasts and doctors alike both believe in the ability of fermented apple extract to not only maintain healthy skin and a vibrant body, but to treat acne as well.
This all-natural product that can be consumed or used as a topical application also provides an alternative to those acne skin care products on the market that are artificially created and potentially irritating for the skin. In short, apple cider vinegar, if utilized properly, can be the cornerstone of an effective acne treatment plan for anyone who is afflicted with this embarrassing condition.
Why does drinking apple cider vinegar improve the skin?
When ingested, apple cider vinegar works by removing toxins from the liver, thereby keeping it healthy and fully functional. As those who have studied acne research and treatment know, liver health is all-important for a clear and vibrant complexion. The skin is an organ, and as such, it is affected by the liver. A toxin overload in the liver can lead to secretions through the skin, which can result in excess bacteria and acne.
Therefore, poor liver function can result in acne. Fermented apple extract can help keep the liver strong, thereby improving breakdown of toxins without excreting them through the skin.
Apple cider vinegar can also improve the digestion. Being acidic, it can help to stimulate and regulate production of stomach acid, which is important for breaking down food particles and absorbing nutrients. This will provide a further aid to the skin.
How can a topical application of fermented apple extract help the skin?
Applying apple cider vinegar topically to the skin surface can help to improve acne and also to reduce facial redness. It can also reduce the amount of sebum or oil on the skin's surface. One of the advantages of using fermented apple extract is that it can improve the complexion as well as clearing up acne.
When you first begin to use fermented apple extract, it should be diluted into a 10% solution, which may then be applied to the skin with cotton pads as much as three times daily. Before you try this, though, you should dab a spot of cider vinegar on a part of your skin that you cannot usually see to determine if it will irritate your skin or otherwise cause it to break out. Over time, though, your skin will become adjusted to the apple cider vinegar and you can increase the concentration of the vinegar.
There are, however, a couple of disadvantages that you need to be aware of regarding using fermented apple extract for your acne. The first is the taste. Apple cider vinegar can have a powerfully bitter taste that can make it unpleasant to drink. To help with this, you could eat honey right after swallowing the vinegar, or mix the vinegar itself with fruit juice. The second disadvantage is the vinegar's acidity. Fermented apple extract can erode the enamel on your teeth. As a solution to this problem, you can use a straw to keep the apple acid vinegar away from your teeth. And if apple cider vinegar just is not effective for you, then other products on the market, such as Exposed Skin Care, may be more viable options.
