AmeriPlan - All You Need to Know
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

AmeriPlan Corporation claims that they are United State's premier discount medical plan organization. They are not an insurance company as they emphasize- as they do not pay directly for the provider, it is the member who pays the service provider at discounted fees.

Established in 1992, AmeriPlan also claims that they are the nation's largest discounted fee-for-services program of its type with more than one million persons in membership. Currently, as reported and released, AmeriPlan has more than 55,000 IBO's (Independent Business owner) selling its program in all 50 states (except Alaska).Their gross annual revenues are over $55 million. To add to their dental packages, they also recently added vision, chiropractic and hearing care.

AmeriPlan seems to have very attractive packages in reasonably priced tags. Basic packages to AmeriPlan starts at $11.95 a month and $19.95 per month for a whole family. With the on-going issue of the American healthcare and the nation's place in the worldwide financial meltdown, these packages are very suitable for the normal American.

AmeriPlan owners, Dennis and Daniel Bloom tried their hands on a strategy of marketing different from what they have been doing. They have tried all sorts of marketing tactics and strategies but did not want to go on the last way: Multilevel Marketing. Fast forward, AmeriPlan did "Multilevel Marketing" which according to them is the most dynamic and the most abused type of marketing known to men. And the rest is history.

AmeriPlan's strategy is peculiar. They offer a benefit package for their "new business partners". This package is very uncommon for other home based business opportunities companies- in this because their offer of the business opportunity is very undemanding. Licenses, office space, inventory and even workers are not required by AmeriPlan. On the contrary, AmeriPlan does offer a pay structure that is established in the multi-level marketing strategy that they have which they claim is very solid and grounded.

Both the general and marketing strategy of AmeriPlan is appealing. One, because  it has packaged itself as innovative- evidenced by its general strategy of not paying the providers directly but rather linking up with these providers and giving the responsibility of paying to AmeriPlan's members- but on discounted amounts for services, equipment and even medicines. AmeriPlan's reports says that members get up to 80 percent off their dental work.

This strategy makes their members feel safe in a way that whatever they pay for, they can use immediately. It does not feel like the insurance thing wherein you pay, and get all petrified that when the insurance company closes, you lose. The reputation of the Bloom brothers also added to Ameriplan's own reputation as a company.

Their marketing strategy that is multi-level, away from the usual newspaper advertisements here and there utilizes human resources at its peak. That is- according to them, they are not distributor driven but rather member driven for they recognize that their membership is the biggest chunk of their revenue.

The success of AmeriPlan as the Bloom brothers say, is selling something of value to the customers.
