The Value Of Breath For Your Golf Swing! Learning The "Bright Breath Technique
I know when I swing on my exhaled breath, my muscles are supple and relaxed. Simply put, whenever your ready to putt, chip, and eventually hit iron shots, you do an exhaled breath through your nose
on the back-swing and follow-through. That's it! It takes a little bit to integrate it. When it becomes part of the muscle memory, it is quite fun to use.
The best part about this mind system is it can be read on a short jet flight with some peanuts and soft drink. And the ideas are simple to use. The B.B.T. is simple, and yet very profound what it can do to add calmness and wonderful ball striking. My guess is you'll want to use it in all areas of your game. I sure do! From chipping to irons to your tee shots; I know you'll find that it's quite refreshing.
And here is the best way to learn it. First, putting, chipping, irons, then, woods. This way you're doing it with small swings to the larger swings. This "technique" can surprise and delight, you as you practice it on the practice putting green. My guess is you will be making some putts you have wanted to drop. It probably Sounds to good to be true. Here are just a few of the benefits I discovered with the B.B.T.
• Quiets the golfers mind
• Allow results to happen effortlessly
• Lets your body work with ease
• It is a great tool for the yips
• You can let go of the outcome of a shot
• More consistent shot performance
That is some positive benefits for our golf swing! I'm sure you're aware of the countless mental techniques that you can buy, be they CD's and DVD's Yes, and, they all have their value. However, to experience the B.B.T. you can use on the links in each shot moment. Ah, that's the ticket. I have provided some places for you to write down how and where the B.B.T is working for you. We want to keep our practice fun. By jotting them in the book, you have created more value because you get to jot what's working for you. This will get you involved with where you're improving. Take a little time to fill these questions out. That way, you'll be able to chart your own progress and what still needs some more fine-tuning. You will begin to see the value the B.B.T. can provide, plus the positive phrases in each category.
I now want to welcome you on your short journey to calmness and fun to your game. One of the first things I noticed using breath was how calm my mind is during the swing.
Here is what I also discovered I found it to relax my muscles on the follow through, which in turn allowed my muscles easily extend towards the target. Hey, that was another benefit. You'll have your own awareness's with the use of breath. If you like, send them in. I would enjoy reading what you're experiencing.
Allowing a shot to occur
I first want to establish the foundation for the B.B.T. In a few pages will be sharing how to practice the breath method at home. And I've created an easy way to do just that. It will become part of your muscle memory before you use it on the links. Using the B.B.T. allows you to release the outcome of any shot you hit. And it's peaceful to let go of the shot were hitting in the moment. This in turn lets us make a smooth swing at the ball. Give yourself some time for you're breath to be as easy as snapping you're fingers.
"I know that purpose, focus, and concentration can be achieved through breathing."
Golf is a sport where having clear purposes of intent creates meaningful results. Breathing assists because it quiets the mind and relaxes the muscles. This in turn can promote better shot making. Everyone in golf has his or her own golfing pre-swing signature. We all see how far we are from the hole with either a sprinkler head, or designated trees or markers. Gosh, there's even G.P.S.!
Once we choose the club and observe what variables are happening for the day, the B.B.T. provides relaxed or calm concentration. So we allow the shot to happen through being calm. Breathing allows us to be only in this shot moment, and no thought is occurring. This is an enjoyable place to be in our mind and body during the swing."
I know my timing improves with proper breathing.
Once again, it's a good idea to have in the back of the mind during practice sessions the timing of one, two. From the putter to the driver has the same amount of timing. Do you remember the bump the ball hit the shot drill? This is a very effective way to get the rhythm of one, two.
With that being said, doing an exhaled breath during the whole swing process puts the muscles in a relaxed state. It's a fun way to practice! And timing is certainly rewarded in golf! Ok, it's time to sit back in you're most comfortable chair and breathe.
The Soft Chair Exercise
First, I'd like to have you practice the method without a club in your hand. Now I'm not getting weird on you. Why am I starting with you sitting in favorite chair? So you will become familiar with this method of breathing before you hit golf shots. You'll enjoy the "B.B.T." for putting in a short time. Are you ready to experience the B.B.T? Great! First of all, what I'd like to have you do is take a big breath in, and fill your stomach with air. Then exhale through your nose. Move your arms back and through. Just notice how you feel.

I wanted to share this with as many golfers as I can. I just had to write this down and share it. The Bright Breath Technique is the heart of my book.
