The looks are standard in the contemporary black casing all electronics are done in today. This one does feature a silver speaker set that has a clear panel to show behind the set and tech logos that light up along the lower left corner, giving it a different look then other sets. The lighting on the logos can be turned off via an on screen menu so they can be made to be less noticeable.

There are plenty of connectors to this set to make it stand out among all the other set. It has 5 HDMI slots for all the devices that you want to attach, a PC connector, AV and S-video, RF for an antenna or cable, 2 video inputs and a stereo input. This allows the set to be fully customized with the electronics you want to add to it.

It also boasts the truest blacks on a set, and this is what makes this set stand out. The colors can be adjusted 4 ways, so you can make the picture looks exactly how you want it to, not by presets.

There are 3 available dejudder settings available and a separate Real Cinema mode. This allows you to keep the picture steady and get the most from your DVDs and Blu Ray discs as well. The picture does have 9 adjustable settings, including 4 that are entered for sports, so that you can always see it clearly, and view the picture on the set to the best advantage that you can.

The set is one of the most energy efficient on the market. The back light variation and the LED technology use much less power then other competitors at this price point and higher. Calibrating it to your own needs can save you a lot on operating costs annually, keeping them about $25 for the year on average to operate when you have adjusted the settings.

This set is not without problems. The back light does cause some flickering on programs, and this can be distracting when seen in a dim room. The shadow detail is also lacking in the set, and it can be very noticeable, especially in dark scenes. The looks are a detraction for many as well and you will either like it or loathe it.
