All About Positive Thinking - In a Nutshell

'God helps those who help themselves'. Have you ever wondered what the maxim means? It is all about positive thinking. When you have an unfulfilled desire you give it up. You stop caring which leads to stop wanting and in turn stop trusting. You become dejected, disinterested and depressed. It becomes a stumbling block for you. A feeling of bitterness sets in. You feel you have a purposeless life. You succumb to resentment, high stress and ill health. You emit negativity creating a negative environment around you at home, at workplace, and in society. From 'I can do it' you become 'I can't do it'.

This is high time you woke up. Don't fear to change the ways that are responsible for making you negative. Sometimes we are so comfortable with our negativity that we shun accepting the change. There is hope. You can always build positive approach to life.

You can practice the following steps to refresh and rejuvenate the fading positivity in you.

1 Desire to become self confident and positive

Don't be complacent with what you already have. Desire for more. At the same time appreciate what you already have. Express your gratitude to the provider - The God, parents, friends, yourself.

2 Stop criticizing yourself and others

Being intolerant of mistakes makes you negative. Remember if great scientists were not tolerant of mistakes they could not have experimented for years to bring to you so many niceties of life.

3 Do not procrastinate

Believe in Benjamin Franklin's words. 'Never leave till tomorrow which you can do today'.

4 Educate yourself

Make it a habit to learn whatever you can from wherever you can at any time. Keep your eyes and mind open for everything new. It is extremely self gratifying. Remember knowledge is power.

5 Build a positive self-esteem

Refrain from smoking, drugs and alcohol. Stop watching negative movies or television programs. Imagine yourself in the place you want to be and retain that picture in your mind without allowing it to fade at any time.

6 Do not visualize difficulties in their inflated form

Though it is important to calculate your moves yet learn to depreciate and minimize obstacles in your mind's eye.

7 Do not be over influenced by the people you appreciate too much and never try to ape them. Don't allow them to make you feel inferior.

8 Keep your goals practical and in tune with your abilities.

9 Trust in God

Reach out to him with open arms. Receive his choicest blessings. Remove the umbrella that you had stretched over your head for protection.

Go ahead. Be positive.
