If you like some clandestine action and are thrilled to play the role of warriors that use stealth as their primary skill, then the Scout is the class for you in Aion. Scouts are at their best when surveying distant terrain on the map, and can sneak right into the enemy lines without ever being noticed. They are very agile and fast, and can cover long distances in a comparatively short period of time, but these skills are essential for the survival of a Scout. Scouts can be of great help to a group, as they are seen as members who can be relied upon when it comes to warning about coming dangers, intelligence of the enemy movement or simply to scout the map.
Scouts have excellent flanking abilities in battle, apart from their primary weapon of stealth and agility. However, they are not the strongest in battle and tend to keep a distance from the center stage in battlegrounds. They try not to catch a lot of attention, actually they hate catching a lot of attention, as they have poor crowd-control capabilities. If you are a Scout, try not to steer your player into the mobs of monsters too much. Scouts either tend to maintain a safe distance from the action, or prefer to take on the enemy in close range to maintain their invisibility on the battlefield.
A Scout's primary weapon is the dagger. It has an attack range of +1. Scouts also use a sword, which has a greater attack range of +2, and a bow. Scouts specialize further into an Assassin, which is the most accomplished class when it comes to making close range attacks with great secrecy and to eliminate the enemy stealthily, or into Rangers, the class with the greatest accuracy when it comes to using bows and arrows, and with damage capabilities by setting traps to disrupt the enemy advance. Rangers prefer to stay away from close combats, in contrast with the Assassin, which is a more combat-oriented Scout.
Scouts are one of the hardest classes to master in Aion, therefore I really suggest giving a try to some leveling guides for these classes. Most of these guides help you not only gain levels and experience more quickly, but also teach you about other often neglected aspects of the game which should be learned by any serious Aion player.
