So many people, excited about everything they're learning about internet marketing, think it's a great idea to set up an affiliate marketing site and sell products that teach you how to make money online. Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, could be farther from the truth. Here are 3 reasons why it's a bad idea to promote a Make Money Online affiliate product.
You don't know enough -
How long have you been trying to make money online? A week? Two weeks? A year? How can you convince someone to buy a product when you don't know enough about it yourself? How can you confidently answer anyone's questions? There are sites all over the web, set up by new internet marketers, that tell you to buy this product and you'll make $1000 in 24 hours. Think about it. If YOU could make $1000 every 24 hours, would you be wasting your time setting up a site to tell someone else how to do it? No! You'd be spending your time trying to figure out how you could make $2000 in 24 hours!
You don't know enough -
If you're trying to promote a Make Money Online affiliate product, then you don't know enough about the competitive atmosphere of affiliate marketing to know that it's not a good decision to try to sell Make Money Online affiliate products! Which means you need to go back to Affiliate Marketing 101 and re-read the chapter on finding a product with lots of searches and LITTLE competition. Didn't your momma ever tell you to work smarter, not harder?
You don't know enough -
If all you're going to do is set up another run-of-the-mill website to promote that Make Money Online product, then you don't know enough about the search engines and marketing techniques. It's no longer enough to set up a copy-cat site and promote it with lots of backlinks and articles. Your site has to offer something unique to the visitors if you have any hope of progressing upward on the index. You need to be able to offer a new twist on that product - tell your visitors something they don't already know. Tell them something they haven't already seen on the 13 million other sites that are promoting that same product.
Tell them something that proves to them you know what you're talking about - that you've actually used that product and you DID make $1000 in 24 hours.
