But if nobody else is interested in these topics then you can write all you want about it and you won't sell a single bag of manure.

It's true that you need to be able to sound like an authority on whatever product you choose but it doesn't have to be something you're interested in. Some of the most profitable products available to affiliate marketers are also some of the most boring. But you're not setting up this website to entertain yourself. You're setting it up to make money.
