Affiliate marketing has become a great way to make some extra money without having your own product. The problem is many people don't know the pitfalls that can keep you from making money. Would you like to learn them?
Before I begin, I would like to explain just what affiliate marketing is. In today's time it is very expensive to create your own product or very time consuming if you want to create one yourself. So, the next best thing is to use someone else's product to promote and make a percentage of the sale as a commission. This is how affiliate marketing works. Today I want to tell you about 5 mistakes that you want to avoid so that you have a better chance of making commissions.
Mistake #1: Choosing a lousing product to promote. There are many people who have products on the market and they are looking for people to promote so that they can earn commissions from. Many of these products are not very good or worth buying. So, you have to choose your products wisely. If you choose a product off of Clickbank you want to pick a product that has a high popularity and gravity rating. Also, need to choose a product in a niche that is making lots of sales.
Mistake #2: Picking a low converting product. Here you have chosen a product that not very many people are buying. One thing you need to look at is the sales page and graphs of the website. If you read the salespage and is does not make you want to buy then you have one good reason not to choose this product. Move on.
Mistake #3: Selling a misleading product that does not do what it states. This is a big one. If you have a list of people that you promote products to and you send them a product that does not do what it say then you will lose a lot of people from your list. One smart thing to do is to buy the product yourself and check it out and if it is bad give it back so your prospects will not have to.
Mistake #4: Choosing a product that has low commissions. It does not make sense to promote a product and you make small change in return. Make sure that you get at least 50 percent of the sale and a minimum of $20 dollars per sale.
Mistake #5: You do not collect leads from your promotions. You should always look to collect the name and email address of the people who look at the product that you are promoting. Don't let the owner of the product be the only one to get these people on their list and not yours. You want to be able to send out additional promotions for the product and others that you may choose to promote.
Now that you know what mistakes to avoid, you should now take some action and open up the door to the affiliate marketing commissions that you can be making.
