Advantages and Benefits to the Purchaser of a Modular Home

We live in a society that thrives and depends on progress in order to improve upon existing methods of industry and so it is little wonder then that the primary motivation that is used to encourage new technological breakthroughs is money. The industrial revolution heralded a new chapter in the mass production of consumer goods as machines were able to produce items more quickly and with a greater degree of precision than the human workers who were required before them.

Money is the order of the day and the more money that the manufacturers can save then the less they need to charge the consumers in order to make some level of profit, which in turn means that consumers need to pay out less money. Effective industrial processes and practices then are ideal for both capitalist and consumer and provide a healthy win win situation for both.

A prime example of this would be the modular home market which whilst in its tender stages of development is certainly a burgeoning industry that will surely thrive and develop as time goes on. Modular homes have managed to significantly improve and increase the efficiency and effectiveness with which manufacturers have been able to produce the homes meaning significant savings have been passed onto the consumers as well and this had significant social benefits.

Because modular homes are created in a climate-controlled, sterile and physical secure setting this means that wastage of the resources is significantly reduced. One of the major issues that plagued traditional forms of construction was that there were a significant number of factors that could not be adequately controlled or indeed predicted meaning that deadlines were invariably missed and expenses padded out.

These included the likes of the weather and so a heavy storm or rainfall would guarantee a delay in the construction work. Another common problem was theft and vandalism, as these were extremely costly not only in terms of the actual damage they caused but also due to the productive time that was wasted trying to remedy them. Traditional construction methods were wholly ineffective and as such, these increased overheads were always passed onto the customer resulting in very steep price tags for their new homes.

There is a common misconception that modular homes are cookie cutter templates of one another, gray, bland and uncreative carbon copies that do little to inspire or entice. Part of this is due to the fact that many people (sadly) associate affordability with poor quality, but on both counts, modular homes punch well above their weight.

Consumers can have the home of their dreams which has been tailor made to their very exact requirements and still be able to take advantage of a significant discount in comparison to a home constructed relying upon traditional means of production. This allows consumers to have an even greater degree of control over the amount of money they do eventually pay for their home, as they can trim down features they do not want.
