1. Tea & Basil Treatment - Okay, so before you go to bed, or in the morning, boil up a couple of tea bags, and before you start stirring it up, mix in some dried basil. Gently proceed to dabbing this on your trouble spots with a good cotton ball. This has been reported to help fight off acne breakouts in some people. Make sure the basil soaks in good with the tea.

2. Toothpaste - Although some people don't recommend this, a lot of others swear by it. Dab just a little tiny amount of your toothpaste on a pimple before going to bed for the night, and wash it off in the morning. The drying effect is said to get rid of the oil and pimple.

3. Nutmeg & Milk Treatment - Another reported home remedy, get out your best nutmeg, grind it up into a fine powder and mix it with unboiled milk. Apply this to your acne areas (face and/or body) and it should encourage your acne to subside and eventually go away.

4. Garlic - Another widely reported home remedy (although not the most pleasant one) is getting out some fresh garlic (from the clove), and rubbing it on your acne areas regularly. Some people report clearing within days of regular garlic treatment.

5. Lime & Rose - This is one of the more popular methods to treating acne at home, and it sounds half way pleasant too. Get your hands on some real lime juice (not the fake stuff in the little plastic lime), and mix it with rose water (same portion of each), and rub it on to your acne problem areas. Let it sit for around 30 minutes, then wash it off with water.
