Achievement - How Can I Tell If I'm Passionate Enough About a Goal to Obtain It?

If you think that you have a big, life-goal in mind, but you are not sure if you are passionate enough about it to see it all the way to completion, this handy checklist may help you decide. Read on to find the top three things that you must have in order to be passionate about a particular goal, enough to complete it.

All successful achievers have goals that keep them focused and on track in their lives. No matter where you are in your life, you too can develop amazing goals that can transform the way you live for the better. However, you need to have a few guidelines when developing these goals. You might think it would be great to have 12 cars and a huge mansion, but if your not really as passionate about the goal as you think, you will never get there.

Here are 3 different things that you will need to make sure that you have before you set out to achieve your new goal. Use them as a template to decide how passionate you are about something:

1. Does the goal occupy most of your thoughts during your waking hours? If not, then it's probably less of a passion than it is a hobby or something that would be nice to have.

2. Are you willing to put many of your other projects and hobbies on the back burner while your pursue this passionate goal? Achievement takes a lot of work and time, with laser-sharp focus. If you aren't willing to put aside some of your other time-wasting "fun" hobbies, then your goal is not enough of a passion to pursue it.

3. Do you have the moral support and belief of those that are close to you? If you do not have the support from loved ones, you can kiss your new goal goodbye. The people around you have to believe in you, because you are going to be spending a lot of time on this goal and they need to understand how important it is to you.

These are 3 simple guidelines, but if they don't exist around your goal for achievement, you will never get there. In order to get what you want, you must have it in your mind all of the time to the point of almost nothing else matters. The goal will then point you in the right direction for taking action and you will be able to weed out the projects that will not progress you towards that goal
